Abstract In this study, a new method for determining the material parameters of cyclic plasticity is presented. The can be applied to evaluate model from any loading histories measured experimentally. experimental data require basic processing only utilized. calibrate different elastoplastic models such as Chaboche–Rousselier (Ch–R) constitutive equation or other formulations which use rules isotropic hardening. developed was utilized copper selected group models. It shown that among considered very good description mechanical properties achieved Ch–R with two Voce terms used simulating hardening and backstress variables capturing kinematic behavior. Furthermore, it demonstrated calibrated using tension/compression able properly capture response in torsion. Similarly, when are determined torsion reproduce behavior tension/compression. concluded type equations identified single test. proposed methodology validated relations derived analytically
